Sean the One Eyed Frenchie Skincare Routine with Squishface

If you follow Sean, you already know the drill: those gorgeous squished folds that make him so photogenic require some extra care. So when a blue box from Squishface showed up on the doorstep, Sean was ready to put it to the test.

The Unboxing

Inside the Squishface box was everything a wrinkly-faced dog could need: a tube of their signature Wrinkle Paste, the silicone paste applicator, and a promise of "fast acting," "all natural," and "made in the USA" care. Sean gave it the obligatory tongue-out sniff test before we applied it to his folds.

Why Sean Needs It

Being a bulldog with all those deep facial folds (plus, in Sean's case, some extra care around his eye) means moisture, dirt, and buildup love to hide out in his wrinkles. Left unchecked, that trapped moisture is exactly what causes the redness and irritation bulldog owners know all too well. That's the whole reason products like this exist.

According to Squishface, Wrinkle Paste is built to:

  • Protect wrinkles and skin folds from excess moisture

  • Clean and care for tear stain areas

  • Maintain nose ropes and facial folds

  • Care for tail pockets and other hard-to-reach spots

  • Keep wrinkle-prone areas feeling fresh and comfortable

It's a limited-ingredient formula, too, which means no water, alcohol, or added fragrance. Instead it uses shea butter, avocado oil, and coconut oil to condition sensitive skin. For a dog like Sean, whose face already deals with more than the average Frenchie, that gentler ingredient list matters.

Putting It On

A thin layer of the paste is applied right into his folds while he tolerates it with the classic squished-face side-eye. The application itself is simple: clean the area first, make sure it's dry, then smooth a thin layer of paste into the wrinkle, nose rope, or tail pocket. Squishface recommends doing this once a day for 7–10 days to tackle existing buildup, then dialing back to every other day (or as needed) for maintenance.

The paste is also lick-safe, which is a relief for anyone who's tried to keep a curious bulldog tongue away from freshly applied product.

The Verdict

Sean's family says they've reached for this product on "all of our bulldogs" for a long time now. Between the applicator making mess-free application easier and the paste itself creating a water-repellent barrier over the folds, it's an easy add to a regular grooming rotation for any wrinkly-faced pup.

Sean gives Squishface his seal of approval!
